We had our fieldtrip last Saturday (September 13, 2008) at Bae, Laguna and at Mt. Makiling. I wasn`t really in the mood to join the trip and I badly wanted to go home. But it would be more of a hassle if I wouldn`t join my classmates because I would be required to go with other sections. For short, 2 fieldtrips for me. No thanks :p

Before meeting with my classmates, I decided to eat my breakfast at McDonald`s. And then I went to the DevCom building to meet up with my classmates. We left UPLB at 7.45 in the morning and we were just riding jeepneys. Haha. Nice fieldtrip, huh? :p Our first destination was at Bae, Laguna to do farm works but since it wasn`t harvest time, we just went around the fields and interviewed the farmers. I learned lots of things from them and they also told us how hard it is to harvest rice. They made us try different field works like gapas & remove the skin of the palay. It was fun but Mr. Sun wasn`t very cooperative at all. Still, we enjoyed Destination No. 1 :)


Next stop was at the Makiling Botanical Garden. We ate our lunch there and then we went to upland farmers. It took us about 30 minutes to go up the mountain. It was so stressful because the road was not nice `cause it was super bumpy and we were riding a jeep. When we reached the mountain, Ma`am Chek told us that we still have to walk all the way up the mountain. Wow, thank you a :P She wanted us to see the condition of the people who are residing on top of the mountain. We thought it wasn`t that far from where our jeepneys were parked. So we followed our guide and hiked up the mountain. It was super muddy and slippery. We were so surprised when Ma`am Chek asked us to remove our slippers and rubbershoes & go up the mountain with barefeet :/ Slips, slides, screams and shrieks. It took us another 30 minutes to finally reach the upland farmers. It was both funny and frustrating because when we arrived at the top of the mountain, Ma`am Chek said, "O class, now you know the meaning of isolation a. Okay, let`s go back." Wow, diba? We could`ve looked up the meaning in the dictionary nalang. Haha. Or she could have just went up all by herself then took a picture then presented it to us via PowerPoint. Haha. Joke! :P So we suffered the same thing in going down the mountain. Good thing the boys were there to help us. Naks. Gentlemen! :) We cleaned ourselves up and then had a mini picnic. Haha. We ate cookies and bananas :p After that, we thought we would already go back to UPLB but Ma`am insisted that we shall see the dumpsite in Los Banos. Tsktsk. We had no choice but to go there but some of us just stayed in the jeep. Haha. Bastos :)) Then finally, it was going home time! :> I was dropped at Westbrook and then I just changed my clothes & freshened up. I met up with Ynik, Ryan & Anton and we rode a bus on our way to Manilaaa! Went down at Magallanes then rode the MRT to TriNoma. Kuya Miggy fetched me there and we went home sweet home :)

I`ll be going back to LB tomorrow. Boo! :/
